Subsystem-A subsystem is a part or component of a larger system. The subsystem is also considered a system because it still consists of a group of components working together to achieve a goal.
For example, if a car is considered a system, one of the subsystems of a car would be the engine. The engine consists of many parts and components that work together, so it is a system. The engine is one of the parts that make up the car so it is also considered a subsystem.

Open Loop-A system can either be considered open loop or closed loop. Open loop means that the system has no way to measure or control its output.
For example a bathtub is an open loop system because it can overflow if a person does not shut off the water. An oven will continue to cook even if the food is burnt unless a person shuts it off.
Closed Loop- A closed loop system is just the opposite. It has a feature that can control the system.
